The Saline County Recorder of Deeds office is a county-elected position with a four year term. Jessica L. Baker has served as the Saline County Recorder since 2023. Other members of the team include:

The primary responsibility of the Recorder of Deeds office is making permanent records of Saline County real estate transactions, Federal and State tax liens, plats and surveys, military discharges and issuing marriage licenses.

The Saline County Recorder's Office offers two options for online land record searching.

1) Tapestry: for the occasional user, 24/7 access, credit card based for payment as you go. Go to www.landrecords.net and select Saline County, Missouri.

2) Laredo: monthly subscription option for frequent searching with 24/7 access. To subscribe, contact Jessica in the Recorder's office at 660-886-2677 or recorder@salinecountymo.gov.

Online land records date back to 1962, with older records being added daily. In-office records date back to 1821.

Online marriage records date back to 1970, and in-office records date back to the early 1800s. If you need a copy/certified copy of your marriage license, please contact our office.

Saline County now offers a free online subscription service, Property Fraud Alert, that allows individuals to have their name monitored within the County Recorder's office in order to track possible fraudulent recordings that affect their property. PFA is available in both English and Spanish. Alerts are sent via email, automated phone call, or text message. Alerts are sent within 24 hours after the document has been recorded.
